I love these photographs! I’ve also recently been turned on to Red Hook. I snapped some photographs there earlier this week, but I guess I should go back, bc none of the subjects in your photos look familiar. The cable cars are amazing!
Thank you! The cable cars are right behind Fairway.

Now you have me craving some fried chicken! And no regular KFC will satisfy it when you’ve given me these beautiful pictures to look at. I’m definitely going to take a trip out to Brooklyn just to try this place. Great review!
That’s what I like to hear! Thank you.

Finding all of my reviews is now much faster!
If your hand eventually goes numb or you find that you have developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from all that scrolling you had to do on my blog in order to track down a specific review then you are in luck! There is now a new link on the right column called “CURRENT LIST OF REVIEWS”. This link will take you to a complete listing of all my restaurant reviews where you can pick and choose...

Wow! Do you take those pictures yourself? I’m all weird abt texture so don’t do well with raw oysters but they look so appetizing in these pictures. The piece de resistance is the mint julep, from the gorgeous ice to the silver cup…ahhhh
Yes all of the photographs were taken by me and thank you for your...

Post-boozefest recovery food!
Perhaps you’ve just completed a pub crawl and downed a dozen or so of those fine local microbrewed beers or maybe you were out with some other hungry Russians who convinced you that Vodka is part of a daily nutritious breakfast or maybe you woke up in a strange room wearing a “Furry” outfit while thinking “Maybe those 15 shots of Tequila wasn’t such a good...

Maybe it’s time to let someone else cook for me…those “wings” sound great and I love how you described this restaurant’s principles and ingredients!
Thank you! Use of organic and natural ingredients is one of the many things I appreciate about Park Slope restaurants.

Is trendy really worth it?
I’ve eaten at my fair share of so called “trendy” restaurants. Often I find myself leaving from such places not only with disappointment and an unsatisfied hunger but with an empty wallet as well. It would seem that the majority of my great meals came from the everyday non-trendy spots. Don’t get wrong, there are definitely trendy places that serve some incredible fare but...

JellyFish from Japan! I’m not sure I’d eat something alive AFTER seeing it move. I’m more adventurous now, so not sure where my line is now.
I’ve had jellyfish as well and find it to be totally tasteless unless it’s really well seasoned or in some kind of tasty sauce.

My line is drawn at alive/dead, with a no dog or horse clause. Andrew has put some horrific things in his mouth, like the eggs in Japan. Eee!
Which eggs are you referring to? The ones that still had a baby chicken fetus?

I love that show! Have you seen the one when he eats the beating frog heart -.-;; I definately would not eat 90% of the stuff he eats!
Yes that was a great episode! I think I could probably do the frog heart because you’re not seeing the entire animal.

When I went to China I ate Donkey Meat (it’s not that weird) it was the most delicious sandwich from a restaurant called Fat King
Could you distinguish it in any way from beef?

I’ve seen people eating live octopus, I could never do that. I really want to try and cook withsea urchin though… hard to find
See urchin is delicious! I’ve tried an amazing spaghetti dish that used sea urchin.

Live lobsters freak me out, they look so much like aliens! Not sure I could eat something alive, I’d draw the line at whitebait!
I think whitebait would be a good start! :)

Something that’s still alive, while I’m eating right then and there alive, staring at me? Lol, no! But lobster-type-of-alive, sure.
Yup something sitting right there alive and in front of you! Like a beating frog’s heart or live baby octopus, two things that were featured on Bizarre Foods.

If it looks good, eat it!
I love watching Andrew Zimmern’s “Bizarre Foods” show! Often times he has a way of making even the most disgusting food look somewhat tasty. I’m all about trying new and crazy foods but I often wonder if I could eat something that’s still alive. What’s the strangest or weirdest thing you have eaten? Do you think you could eat something that’s still alive?...

Definitely agree with you and Nigella on this! Though sometimes you might get carried away and go into minute detail just because you did find the food so exciting.
Exactly! There are definitely times something is just so strikingly delicious that it calls for further details but sometimes a potato is just a potato :)

"Is this giving me pleasure?"
As I was channel surfing the other day, I immediately paused when I caught a glimpse of Adam Richman as one of the judges on a 2011 episode of Iron Chef America. I have always been a fan of Adam’s show, Man vs Food, not necessarily because of his crazy food challenges (Who am I kidding! I love his food challenges!)but more so because of Adam’s simple and direct descriptions of something he’s...
